have invented certain new and useful Improvements l attachment;

.The object of my inventionis vIto provide a selfadjusting handle, 'and suitable fastening for the same,

to be appliedto trunks, chests, valises, &c. and 'to this end, my invention consists in the employment of a plate rorplates formed at each end, with a shoulder recessed out on its under side, to receive ears or projections on plates secured to the handle, in combinasecured as will be' hereinafter set forth. o
