Be it known that I, CHARLES J. FERGUSON, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Pendleton, Oregon, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Shooting- Shirts, of which the following is a specification.

My object is to produce a shooting-shirt such as is Worn outside the trousers and in which the shell-pockets are formed integrally with the shirt by turning up and securing the end upon the shirt-body. This does away with the disadvantages of a patch-pocket and allows of a pocket extending all around the shirt.

In the drawings forming part of this application, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved shirt as it is Worn. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the same. Fig. 3 is a section on the line 3 3 of Fig.` 2, and Fig. 4 is a section on the line 4 4 of Fig. 2.

In making garments it has been customary to attach patch-pockets to different parts of the garment, which for shooting purposes is not very satisfactory, because it tends to drag the garment out of shape, and my improved shirt overcomes that as well as making it much simpler and cheaper to manufacture and provides for pockets extending all around the bottom of the shirt.

The shirt consists of the body portion l, which is provided with any desired form of sleeves 2 and may have a front opening 3, which extends part way down. .For shellpockets I turn up the end 4 of the shirt and then secure it to the body of the shirt by seams 5 and 6 on the sides, front, and back, thus forming pockets 7 around the bottom of the shirt intermediate the seams, which are integral with the shirt,and therefore stronger, as well as being simpler to make. Suitable buttons 8 may be secured to the shirt-body, to which the pockets may be buttoned near the top.

The positions of the seams 5 and 6 may be altered Without departing from my invention.

Having described my invention, what I claim isn A shooting-garment comprisinga body portion the opening in which extends only part way down the body, and a series ofcontinuous shell-pockets around the bottom of the garment, formed by turning up the integral end of the body and securing the same on the body by means of the vertical seams.
