Be it known that I, WILBBR F. ARNOLD, of New Britain, county 'of Hartford, and State of Connecticut, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Lock Snap-Hook; and to enable others skilled in' the art to maire and use the same, I will proceed to ydescribe by referring to the drawings, in which the same letters indicate like parts in each o f the figures. i

' The nature of this invention willbe understoodjrom the specifications and drawings.

The objectfdesired to be attained thereby is to lock-the latch when it is hooked into a `loop or ring,'and thereby prevent it from becoming detached from said loop or ring, by anything striking against the latch. Inthe accompanying draivings i I Figure 1 is a side view of the hook.

f is a spring-supporter, and held in its proper position by a bar,'h, cast or Iliade iii the back edge of the opening z', formed in the body of the hook, one'end of which bears against the thumb-latch, and thepther in a depression, 1c, at thelower end of th opening.

Thus it willgbe seen that a cheap, simple, and eilicient hook is produced, which can be easily detached from its mooring by pressing the thumb-latch,whch unlocks the latch proper, and at the same time`presses open said latch. l I believe-I have thus shown the nature, construction, and advantage of thisinvention, so asto enable others skillediu the art t o make and 'use the same. What I claim, therefore, 'and desire to secure -by Letters Patent, is-
