The object of this invention is to provide-nn'ironinglhobrd'which may be conveniently used und which muy be folded together into smaller compass when not required for ironing or pressing clothes4 In the accompanying plate of drawings, the invention is shown to consist ol' the end frames Bl D D B and- E D D E. These frames are hinged to the bottom frnme B B C C by the butts or hinges c and g. The pressing-boord A is provided, on its under side, with n' dove-tailed slide, n, whiclLslides to and fro between the correspondent dove-tailed guide-strips 71a, niixed longitudinally to the under sido of the hoard'A..v The slide-'fn is hinged to the cross-piece, E', of the end-`rameE D ELhy the butt or hingen, es shown, which permits-the boardtofbe raised, to admit any portion of' a. garment-:1s the sleeve thereofto he slippedon the said bonril. The red line shows the position of the raised'bonrd, i l
The hinge'a :1nd the slide n permit the hoard to `be folded in thc position shown at tig. 2, the hinges g and e benr employed for that purpose. .lhe uprights are braced by means of hnsps, I), and their staples, -when the board is setup for use. lIooks, L L, serve to hold :he hosps, when the board is folded, es shown nt iig. Studs 2, on the cross-picces B, fit into holes in the boord A, and serve to hold it more firmly.
This board is light, cheap, end convenient, :ind fully answers the purpose for which it is intended.'
Having thus described my invention, I ola,im as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 'lhe combina-tion. of the boord A, hinged end-frames B D .D B und E D D E', with the bottom frame B" l B. C- C :1ndhin ed slide n all substantial! ns shown and described, und for the ur ose set i'orth.f Y
