SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 435,588, dated September 2, 1890.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, JULIA ARTIMECIA Mc- GLOHON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Buckeye, in the county of Campbell and State of Tennessee, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Scissorsllolders; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

My invention relates to a combined scissors-rack and spo ol-holdcr, the object of which is to provide a convenient and useful adjunct to a sewing table or cabinet, so that the articles named will be ready for use when desired.

My invention will be described in the following specification and illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which the figure is a perspective view of my invention.

Referring by letter to the several parts of my invention, A is the base, which is preferably circular in form, in the center and upper side of which I erect the standard a, and upon this standard I mount the disks B B, which may vary in number and size, as desired. These disks are arranged to rotate upon said standard, and are provided on their upper surface witha seriesof pinsof a proper size to engage the bores of the spools.

The standard a extends slightly above the upper disk, and is then divided into two or more arms 0 C, which are formed so as to terminate in outwardly-reaching hooks D D. Said arms are also provided with a preferred number of hooks 0, upon which scissors or other similar articles may be hung.

It will thus be seen that I have provided an article of utility and convenience so combined that great economy of space will be effected, and it is thought that further dcseription is unnecessary.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

1. The combination of the base A, the vertical fixed standard a, rising from the base and formed at its upper end into two integral branches C C, which terminate at their'upper ends in the hooks D D, and the disks B, provided with the series of spool-pins and mounted movably on the standard a, substantially as set forth.

2. The combination of the base A, the vertical fixed standard a, formed at its upper end into two integral branches 0 G, which terminate at their upper ends in the hooks D, the series of smaller hooks c, secured in the branches 0, and the disks 13, provided with the series of spool-pins and mounted movably on the standard, substantially as set forth.
