BRUSH-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 416,597, dated December 3,1889.
Application filed September 25, 1889. Serial No. 325,024. (No model.)
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LUOIUS D. GOULD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and use ful Improvements in Brush-Holders; and I- do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
The object of this invention is to provide a holder or an attachment for a brush by Similar letters of reference indicate like parts wherever they occur.
Referring to said drawings, a indicates the brush-head; b, the clamp, which is secured thereto in any convenient manner, in the present case by means of screws 0, which pass through or partially through the head and pierce the shanks of the brushes, as will be understood .upon reference to Fig. 1;
(1 indicates a socket projecting at an angle of, say,- forty-five degrees from a circular base e, which is attached to or forms a part of said socket and projects about a quarterfof an inch, forming a margin around the outside thereof, as will be understood upon reference to Figs. 2 and 3.
