As shown the upper flange 3 extends beyond the lower flange 4 which flange as shown extends in a substantially tangential direction. It is arranged that these flanges are urged towards one another by the inherent resilience of the sheet holder.

  • the leading end of the web is then pulled between the two flanges 3 and 4 while they are spaced apart manually so that it protrudes from between the two flanges.

  • a dispensing container for use in the crossfeed of a web of transfer material especially suited to exert restrained release of the web to inhibit creeping or buckling in use with record webs in an autographic reformed as parallel flanges extending tangentially with respect to the cylinder proper, between which flanges the transfer web is pulled, the extruded cylindrical structure having sufficient resilience to urge said flanges toward each other to yieldably grip the web between them.
