  • the camslide which, as it is oscillated along the bed, projects and retracts the needles or sinkers, is usually engaged in guides on the upper plate, which are added to the plate and secured in position.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a needle bed with which the camslide may be directly engaged and which is, therefore, simpler in construction than the usual arrangement.
