BABY-WALKER.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 354,895, dated December 28, 1886.

The invention is illustrated in the accom panying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a transverse section of my improved perambulator. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section. Fig.

3 is atop plan view corresponding to Fig. 1,

the device being in the form of a perambulator. Fig. 4. is a top plan view with the device extended.

Referring to the drawings, A designates the ends, and A A the sides, of a two-part extensible frame supported on legs B, having ordinary casters, b, and rockerseats. Side boards, H, moving in guides in either or both parts of the main frame, allow the same to be extended into a couch, as shown in Figs. 2 and 4., or to be forcedinto an approximately square form, as seen in Figs. 1 and 3.

D designates a fixed panel, secured in each of the end parts, and these parts D comprise in part the bottom of the couch or crib. To one of these panels D is hinged at c a movable panel, C, and to the other is hinged at c a movable panel, 0. When the frame is extended, the panels D D, O, and O comprise the bottom of the crib, the several panels having proper supports, which may be of any desired and approved form, and are not illustrated.

Hinged at e to the movable panel C are two arms, E, and to the free ends. of each of these arms is secured a hook, t, which in one position of the device engages keepers I, secured in proper position upon the lower surface of the movable panel C. I

By elevating the movable panels 0 O, forcing the parts of the main frame together, and engaging the hooks t of the two arms E in the keepers I, the device is transformed into a perambulator. (See Figs. 1 and 2.) Hooks is upon the arms E, when engaged with eyes is upon the bottom surface of the panels 0, allow the arms E to be folded and held up out of the way when the device is serving as a crib.

Rockers G may be attached at will to the seats b.

The child, standing between the parts 0, C, and E, is supported on four sides, and the spaces between 0' and A or O and A may be used for playthings. The panels are preferably cushioned.

What I claim as new is The extensible frame A A A" B, having fixed panels D, and movable panels 0 and O, hinged to said fixed panels, combined with the hinged arms E, and engaging means I i, as set forth.
