SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 354,6'7B,da-ted December 21, 1886.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that 1, WILLIAM BLoo BERe, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Suspender- End, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

My invention relates to a leather suspenderend; and it consists in cutting thesame into strands and braiding or plaiting the strands, which not only renders the end more attractive in appearance, but makes it pliable edgewise and elastic.

Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification, in which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in both the figures.

Figure 1 is a view of a complete suspenderend made in accordance with my invention, and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the end-blank before plaiting.

In forming the ends A, I stamp out of leather or other suitable material the blank B. This which the button-hole c is formed. The ends thus formed are secured in the top leather, d, in the usual manner. By forming the ends as described they are cheap, strong, and elastic, and pliable in all 5 directions, and present a unique and handsome appearance.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1. As an improved article of manufacture, a Suspender-end made of a solid portion, b, and strands a, connected with the solid por-' tion and plaitedtogether, forming a flat end, substantially as shown and described.

2. The blank B, for a suspender-end, composed of the solid button-hole .portion band strands a, continuous of the solid portion, substantially as described.
