No. 327,991. Patented Oct. 13, 1885.

ERHARD BAUMANN, OF DAYTON, OHIO.
WASH-BASIN HOLDER AND ATTACHMENT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 327,991, dated October 13, 1885.
Application filed April 13, 1885. Serial No. 162,002. (No model.)
To aZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ERHARD BAUMANN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Dayton, in the county of Montgomery and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Wash-Basin Holders and Attachments; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
My invention relates to an improved washbasin holder attached to which or in combination therewith are a comb-case, soap-box,with depression for a tooth-brush on the arm of the same, and a towel-rack.
The mechanism is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a top view of the wash-basin holder with the several attachments. Fig. 2 is the same folded and attached to the side of a trough.
Similar letters designate like parts th roughout both views. 7 a
F represents the outline of a water-trough, to which the wash-basin holder and the attachments are held by the screw or bolt E.
A is an arm pivoted, as specified, with a circular depression on its upper surface to receive the rim of a wash-basin.
B is an arm with a quadrangular depression to receive a comb, and is likewise pivoted. To this arm is pivoted the arm C,to the outer end of which is a circular depression to serve asa soapbox, and the central portion has an oblong depression to hold a tooth-brush.
D is a rod held in a cylindrical block, G, embracing the bolt, and serves as a towelraek. This rod enters the block on nearly a tangential line,t-o keep the inner end without the space occupied by the arms.
The bolt E forms a common pivot for the parts A, B, and D, and to part B is pivoted the part 0. Thus pivoted the several parts, when not in use, may be quite compactly folded.
When in use the parts B, O, and D are extended, so that the soap, toothbrush, comb, and towel are readily accessible. When the wash-basin and towel alone are used no extension of the parts are necessary.
The device may be constructed of other ma terial than wood, yet preserving the same general arrangements of parts.
Having fully described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s
A washing rack or bracket composed of wash-basin support A, comb-support B, and block G,to sustain the towel-rack D,supported on a common pivot, and the arm O,with soapbox pivoted to arm B, said parts united sub- 5 stantially as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ERHARD BAUMANN.
