To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, OLIVER H. BARTINE, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York city, county and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combination Article-Holders, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.

The invention which constitutes the subject matter of this application relates to a combination article holder capable of use in various places, such as hospitals, bathrooms, etc.

One of the objects of my invention consists in the construction of a device of this character in such a way that a large number of articles can be encompassed thereon while the holder itself occupies a minimum amount of space.

Another important feature of my invention is its unitary construction, made, as itis, preferably in one piece, and as a resultit has no joints in which disease germs can harbor and multiply, and consequently is highly sanitary and cheap to manufacture.

Other objects and advantages of my invention will appear from the detail description below taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, in which,

Figure 1 is a view in elevation of one of the preferred forms of the invention, and Fig. 2 is a slightly modified form thereof.

Referring to the drawings in detail the reference numeral 10 designates the supporting piece for the holder, taking the form of a perforated knob in Fig. 1 through which a suitable fastening screw may be inserted. In this instance the holder is specially adapted to be attached to a wall or to any suitable panel. In Fig. 2 the supporting member 10 takes the form of a loop and in this case, as will be readily understood, the holder is portable and is admirably adapted to be supported from the top of the bed, or some other article of furniture. The holder has loops 11 which are in reality downward continuations of the supporting members 10 and these loops serve to support an article such as a comb. The upwardly extending members of loop 11 at the left hand side of this figure is provided with a horizontal loop 12, preferably made of such size as to receive a tooth brush. The upwardly extending member of loop 11 at the right hand side of the figure is provided with a lower horizontal loop 13 and an upper horizontal loop 14, both of which are preferably continuations of and integral with the loop 10 and are adapted to support another article such as a hair brush. The horizontal loops 12 and 14 are preferably located substantially in the same horizontal plane and are connected by means of that portion of the holder indicated by the character 15. For sanitary reasons the loops 11, 12, 13 and 14 and the connecting portions 15 are preferably made of one continuous piece of metal. Substantially 'midway between the loop members 12 and 14 is located and secured upon said portion 15, in any suitable manner, such as by raised portion 16, the verti-' cal supporting members 17 for cups and wash cloths, which project preferably downwardly from said raised portion 16. In Fig. 1 I have shown an additional support 18 projecting horizontally from the member 16. This member 18 serves to support towels or other linen. In Fig. 2 this towel or linen support takes the form of a loop 19 and is preferably connected at its ends, as shown, to the portion 15, adjacent to the loops 12 and 14. j

The holder or fixture may be made from a variety of materials such as brass, iron, steel, wire, etc.; or it may be made of either of the specified materials and suitably coated or enameled.

It is to be understood that the construction of my device shown on the drawings and described in detail above are merely the preferred embodiments of my invention, and it is very obvious that changes can be made in point of detail and other modifications resorted to without departing from the true spirit and scope of my invention.

What I claim is 1. A combination article holder-comprising, in combination, a plurality of vertical loops one of the members of which is provided at its upper end with a supporting member, a horizontal loop connected to the upper end of the other member of one of said loops for supporting a tooth brush or similar article, horizontal loops connected to the upper end of the other member of the other of said vertical loops for supporting a brush, means for connecting the horizontal loops, and means projecting substantially at right angles from the aforesaid means for supporting additional articles.

2. A combination article holder comprising, in combination, a plurality of vertical loops one of the members of which is provided at its upper end with a supporting member, a horizontal loop connected t0- the upper end of the other member of one of said vertical loops for supporting a tooth brush or similar article, a plurality of substantially horizontal loops connected to each other and to the other vertical loop for supporting a brush or other article, the first mentioned horizontal loop and one of the second mentioned horizontal loops provided with means which is located in substantially the same horizontal plane therewith for connecting the said loops, means connected to and projecting downwardly from said means for supporting a cup or similar article, and means 7 connected to the first mentioned means and projecting horizontally therefrom for supporting linen.

3. A combination article holder comprising, in combination, a plurality of vertical loops one of the members of which is provided at its upper end with a supporting member, a horizontal loop connected to the upper-end of'the'other member of one of said loops for supporting a tooth brush or similar article, a horizontal loop connected to the upper end of the other member of the other of said vertical loops for supporting abrush, means for connecting the horizontal loops, means projecting substantially at right angles from the aforesaid means for supporting articles and means also secured to the said loop connecting means extending downwardly therefrom and adapted to support cups and other articles.
