  • a time delay mechanism for the purpose referred to above includes a series of slidable members movable around a closed path between the setting member and the transmitter, each slidable member having its position controlled by the setting member and havinga surface sloping at asmall angle to the path of sliding motion; this surface acts directly or indirectly on the transmitter so that the setting member controls in turn the position of each slidable member and hence the position of the transmitter.
