SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 297,667, dated April 29, 1884.
Application filed October,1883. (No model.)
is a specification, reference being had to theaccompanying drawings.
This invention relates to fasteners for that class of window screens-or shades which are mounted upon spring-rollers, and in which no special separate provision is made for retaining the edges of the screens incontact with Y the sides of the windowfraxne; and it has for its object to provide a simple and ruseful device for the purpose stated,which maybe produced at a small expense, as will be hereinafter described, and particularly pointed out in the claim. v t
In the drawings hereto annexed, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my invention, showing the same applied to a window-frame in position for operation.` Fig. 2 is ahorizontal sec tional view, and Fig. 3 is a vertical sectional view. l
The same letters refer to the same parts in' all the figures.
A in the drawings refers to the base-plate, which is provided with upwardly and down-V wardly projecting arms B B, having perforations C, to receive the nails, screws, or other fastenings by means of which `the 'device is secured -to the window-frame.
| At the sides of the arms B B the plate Ais provided with forwardly-bent arms D D and E E, between the former of which is secured a1aterally-projeeting dat spring, F.
Between the arms E E is. pivoted a lever, G, adapted to-bear against the fiat spring F and force the inner end of the latter downwardly against the face-plate.
From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the drawings hereto annexed,
the operation and advantages of my invention will be readily understood. y
accomplished by means of frictionV only, and without possibility of injury to the windowframe.
I claimV as my invention-- The combination of a base-plate, A, having forwardly-bent arms D D and E E, the laterally-projecting dat spring F, secured between Witnesses:
