Description

Feb. 11, 1958 A. HEYMAN UNDERSHORTS' cous'mucnou FOR MEN' Filed Aug. 1, 1955 INVENTOR. 6 Vf/V 5457'??? UNDERSHORTS CONSTRUCTION FOR MEN Alvin Heyman, Brooklyn, N. Y. Application August 1, 1955, Serial No. 525,609 1 Claim. (Cl. 128-159) This invention relates to undershorts for men.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an improved undershorts construction for men which will provide a means for catching excess drippings from the male copulatory organ, so as to prevent trousers from becoming discolored from the urinary acid.
It is another object of the present invention to provide an. improved undershorts construction of the above type which will serve as an absorbent in a novel manner.
Other objects of the invention are to provide an improved undershorts construction having the above objects in mind which is of simple construction, has a minimum number of parts, is inexpensive to manufacture and efilcient in use.
For other objects and better understanding of the invention, reference may be had to the following detailed description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing, in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a mans undershorts showing the invention incorporated therein;
Figure 2 is an inside fragmentary perspective view thereof;
Figure 3 is a vertical sectional line 33 of Figure 1; and
Figure 4 is a view similar to Figure 3 but showing a modified form of the present invention.
Referring now more in detail to the drawing, and more particularly to Figures 1 through 3, 10 indicates generally a mans undershorts of conventional design including the usual leg encircling portions 11, the crotch portion 12 and the waist 13, as well as the fly portion 14, substantially as illustrated.
In the practice of my invention, cloth or other suitable material is of the left-hand leg portion 11 by view taken along the a pocket 15 of cotton, secured to the inside means of the stitching trite States Patent 2,822,807 Patented Feb. 11, 1958 16, the pocket 15 having the converging curved side portions 17 and being adapted to receive therewithin the male copulatory organ whereby to enclose the same in a comfortable manner. The open upper edge of the pocket 15 is provided with a reinforced edge 17' secured by the stitching 18 (Figure 3), and further provided with an elastic band 20 tending to normally restrict the opening, so that the male organ will have a relatively close fit.
Thus, the pocket will not only enclose the male copulatory organ in a comfortable manner, but will also serve as an absorbent for any urine which may remain after urination.
Referring now particularly to Figure 4, there is shown a modified form of the present invention wherein the pocket 15 is provided with a separable liner 19 insertable therewithin and adapted to receive the male copulatory organ, the liner 19 being formed of a soft, ribbed absorbent material and being particularly designed to absorb any urine after urination.
In other respects, the form of the invention shown in Figure 4 is the same as that shown in Figures 1 through 3 and like reference numerals identify like parts throughout the several views.
While various changes may be made in the detail construction, it shall be understood that such changes shall be within the spirit and scope of the present invention as defined by the appended claim.
Having thus set forth and disclosed the invention, what is claimed is:
In mens undershorts, that improvement which comprises a fabric pocket having downwardly converging side walls secured to the inside of the lefthand leg portion and being adapted to receive therewith the male copulatory organ, a separable fabric liner received within said pocket and having a bottom spaced from the bottom of said pocket, said pocket provided with an elastic band in the upper edge portion of the opening of the pocket thereby normally restricting the circumference of said opening so that a male copulatory organ when inserted therein will have a relatively closer fit with the interior of said upper edge portion of said opening of said pocket.
