The improvement also consists in the combination, with a lamp reservoir or fount made of glass or other like material, of a collar for the attachment ofa burner,a collar applied to a fi|ling-mouth,ai1dacap ot' sheet metal,forming part of the same structure as the collars, applied tol the top of the reservoir or fount and made of such form as to serve as a dripcup.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1. is a plan or top view of a lamp'reservoir and appurtenances embodying my invention, and Fig. 2 is a central Vertical section thereof.
Similar letters of reference designate corrosponding parts in both figures.
A designates a lamp-reservoir, made of glass or like material and ot' ordinary form. It has a month, a, for the reception of a lamp burner, and a filling-mouth, b.
B desig'nates a Sheet-metal collar applied to the inouth a, and O designates a Sheet-metal colla-r applied to the filling-mouth b.
D designates a cap of sheet metal, made'oonsecured in place by plaster-of-paris or other suitable material, as shown, or in any other suitable manner.'
The drip-cup thus formed is of ornamental appearance, serves to prevent the collarsl'rom being wrenched ofi', and may be produced at far less expense than a drip-cup could be formed in the reservoir itselt'.
Vhat I claim as my inventio'n, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- 1. The combination, with a lamp reservoir or fount made of glass or other like material, of acollar applied to a inouth and a cap of sheet metal, forming" part of the same structure as the collar, applied to the top of the reservoir or fonut and made of such form as to serve as a drip-cnp, suhstantially as specitied. 2. The combination, with a lamp reservoir or fount made ot' glass or other like material, of a collar for the attachment of a burner, a collar applied to atilliug-mouth, and a cap of sheet metal, forming part of the same structure as the collars, applied to the top of the reservoir or fount and made of such form as to serve as a drip-cup, substanlially as specified. a
