CRlMPlNG-FORM FOR BOOTS AND SHOES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 243,422, dated June 28, 1881.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HIRAM R. ADAMS, of the city and county of Worcester, and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and useful Improvement; in Forms for Crimping the Uppers of Boots or Shoes; and I do hereby declare the same to be described in the following specification and represented in the accomp'anying drawings, of which- Figure 1 is a perspective elevation, and Fig. 2 a transverse section, of a crimping-form containing my invention, in the carrying out of which I make the form shown at A with one or more ridges or grooves, a, arranged so as to imprint or mark upon the upper in the process of crimping it the lines or places where it is to be trimmed or cut to reduce it to its proper form, or where it is to be pierced or punctured for being seamed or stitched.

I claim- A boot or shoe upper crimping form provided with one or more embossing grooves or ridges arranged with it, substantially as and for the purpose set forth.
