SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 223,621, dated January 13, 1880.

pose of protecting the dress from perspiration, as it is liable to get out of place, wrinkles up, causing the dress to set badly, is too small, and, further, one is required for each dress.
The object of my invention is to provide a perfect protector, which is to be worn under the dress, and can be put on and taken ofl' at will; hence only one is required; and, further,-
to secure such aprotector as Will not interfere with the set of the dress or comfort of the wearer.
The invention consists of the half-sleeve and shield, held in place by elastic bands across top of arms, bust, shoulder, and back, made to fit any form by means of buckles.
-In the accompanying drawings, in which similar letters of reference indicate like parts, Figure 1 is a side elevation of one-half of the protector. Fig. 2 is the. top plan for one-half of the protector. Fig. 3 is the front elevation of the whole protector, and Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the whole protector. My protector is to be worn over the chemise under the arm, and is an article made of waterproof material, cloth, elastic bands, binding, and buckles.
The sleeve B and shield A are to be made of water-proof material, either interlined or covered with cloth and bound with tape.
The protector is to be fastened over the shoulder and arm with elastic bands Q, across the bust with elastic band D, and across the back with elastic band What I claim is In a dress-sleeve protector, the sleeve B, shield A, fastened over the shoulder and arm with elastic bands 0, in combination with the elastic bands D across the bust, and the elastic bands E across the back, substantially as shown and described.
