in addition to the economy gained in the elimination of the lock-cutting operation. Further, in the use of many displays, actual bottled merchandise is employed and frequently said merchandise is stolen. If the bottle is removed by an unauthorized person, the display immediately collapses, indicating to the shopkeeper that the goods have been removed. This provides the shopkeeper with the possibility of apprehending the guilty party.

It is to be understood that my invention contemplates the provision of one or more recesses or alcoves 23 in the same display piece or provision whereby one or more bottles may be disposed in the same recess or alcove.

Utilizing the fundamentals of the display construction hereinbefore described it is possible to surmount the same upon many attractive subbases. For purposes of illustration one specific type of sub-base is hereinafter described.

Referring again to Fig. 1, the base 3 may eX- tend beyond the width of the display proper, that is, beyond the base piece 24 at each end thereof to provide

21 and 28. Said extensions adjacent the base-piece 24 are provided with a plurality of transverse closely spaced score-lines 29 which are cut upon the rear face of the blank, the cuts being relatively shallow, whereby those portions of the extensions may be bent in an arc transverse to the score-lines 29.

The sub-base portion 4 o-f the blank is separated from the base-piece 24 by score-line 30 which is cut upon the front face of the blank. The sub-base is divided into separate panels 3|, 32 and 33 by score-

34 and 35, each of which is cut upon the front face of the blank. A tab 36 extends outwardly from the panel 33 and is adapted to lie in the same plane with panel 33. On each side of tab 36, a

It is to be understood, of course, that my invention needs no sub-base at all, but if a subbase is desired, any type of suitable sub-structure is contemplated.

The display in its fundamental form, that is, comprising

2 and 3 can be readily knocked-down or folded flat for purposes of shipping. Likewise, the complete display, illustrated and described, even after gluing, can be folded at for shipment merely by disengaging the locking tongues from apertures 49 and 59.

I claim as my invention:

1.*A foldable display constructed of a onepiece foldable material comprising a relatively ilat base section, a display section integral with, and foldably connected to said base section and adapted to be disposed at an angle thereto, said display section comprising a plurality of portions including a front portion and a rear panel, a section foldably connecting the front portion and rear panel together, said section being disposed in spaced relationship to said base section, said front portion being provided with an aperture connecting with an aperture provided in said connecting section, said apertures being adapted to embrace the neck of a bottle at a point adjacent its mouth, said bottle being supported upon said base section.

2. A foldable display constructed of a foldable material comprising a relatively flat base section, a display section integral with, and foldably connected to said base section and adapted to be disposed at an angle thereto, said -display section comprising a plurality of portions including a front portion and a rear panel, a section foldably connecting the front portion and rear panel together, said section being disposed in spaced relationship to said base section, said front portion being provided with an aperture connecting with an aperture provided in said connecting section, said apertures being adapted to embrace the neck of a bottle at a point adjacent its mouth, said bottle being supported upon said base section.

A display constructed of a foldable material comprising a relatively flat base section, a display section integral with, and foldably connected to said base section, said display section comprising a plurality of portions including a front portion and a rear panel, a section hingedly connecting the front portion and the rear panel, a section hingedly connecting the front portion and the base section whereby said front portion and rear panel may be disposed in different planes, said front portion being provided with an aperture connecting with an aperture provided in said section connecting the front portion and rear panel to embrace the neck of a conventional bottle at a point immediately below its mouth, said bottle being supported upon said base section.

A display constructed of a foldable material comprising a relatively flat base section, a display section integral with, and foldably connected to said base section, said display section comprising a plurality of portions including a front portion and a rear panel, a section hingedly connecting the front portion and the rear panel, a section hingedly connecting the front portion and the base section whereby said front portion and rear panel may be disposed in different planes, said front portion being provided with an aperture connecting with an aperture provided in said section connecting the front portion and rear panel to embrace the neck of a conventional 'bottle at a point immediately below its mouth. said bottle being supported upon said base section, said entire display being foldabie into a relatively at position when said bottle is removed.

5. A display constructed of a foldable material comprising a relatively at base section, and a display section comprising a rear panel and a front portion, said display section being adapted to be disposed at an angle to said base section and being foldably connected thereto, a. section foldably connecting the front portion and rear panel ;,cvular aperture connecting With an aperture prof'vided in said connecting section, the aperture in said connecting section being adapted to receive the neck of a conventional bottle supported upon said base section, and being of lesser Width than the diameter of the bead formed upon the mouth of said bottle.
