p v 1 Claim. This invention relates to garments for either adults or children, and has for the primary object the provision of a two piece garment equipped with quick detachable fasteners in the form of slidable fasteners wherein the-pieces of the garment may be either partly or wholly separated from each other and readily Joined and when only partly separated, the seat of the trouserstrousers P01110114 partially detached from the waist or shirt portion topermit lowering ofthe seat of the trousers portion.
Figure 3 is a view showing the two piece garment connectible by a quick detachable fastener. Figure 4 is a fragmentary plan view illustrating a fastener for detachably connecting the portions of the garment.
Figure 5 is a perspective view showing a slight modification of garment adapting the same for adult use.
Referring in detail to the drawing, the numeral I indicates a waist portion and 2 a trousers portion. The adjacent edges of these portions aredetachably connected-by a separable fastener 3, one portion of' which is fixed to the lower edge of the waist portion; as shown at I, whilethe other portion is'fixed to the upper edge of the trousers portion and releasable from the waist portion by means of a slide 5, thereby bringing about a complete separation of said portions.
The trousers portion at one side is provided with a slit i closed by a separable fastener I which permits the trousers portion .to be opened at one side and thereby facilitate the putting on and taking oflof the trousers portion and permits said trousers portion to be of a form-fitting design. 5
During wearing of the garment and itisde- I sired to lower the seat portiomthe slide 5 of the fastener is moved to the opposite. side of the I garment and the slide 1 is pulled downwardly,
allowing the seat to lower, as shown in Figure 2, 10
providing a comparatively large opening in the trousers portion to expose the buttock.
The garment shown in Figure 5 is of the formntting type designed for adults and includes a waist portion 8 and trousers portion 9, the porl6 tions I and 9 being detachably connected by a slidable fastener III. The waist and trousers portions at one side are slit or slotted, as shown at H. The slotted portions of the waist and trousers portions are normally closed by fasteners [2. The fasteners l0 and I2 permit the formfltting garment to be readily opened or the waist and trousers portions thereof to be completely separated.
While I have described the garment being slit at the side, it is to be understood the slit may be omitted, as shown in Figure 3.
The fastener at one end has a stud .1" to extend in the slot 8' of the'finger piece or movable end of the fastener to act as a catch, as shown in Figure 4. I
Having described the invention; 1 claim: A garment including nether and waist" portions. said nether portion having a' vertically dis- 35 posed slot at an axilar side of the garment, separable fastener means for said vertical slot, a slide member for said separable fastener means, separable fastener elements carried by the'horizontal confronting edges of said nether and waist poro tions completely encircling the waist portion; and a slide member for said latter separable fastener elements starting-at the said axilar side of the garment.
