  • This invention relates to a device for cleaning and enclosing an artificial denture which has been removed from the mouth of the wearer, and has reference particularly to a receptacle adapted to contain a cleaning fluid and to a holder or clamp, which is adapted to receive and hold an artificial denture, and which fits within the receptacle to hold the denture immersed in the cleaning fluid.

  • the denture When the denture has been clamped to the base it is placed along with the holder into the container l which contains the cleaning liquid. The cover 2 is then put on. During this period; the cleaning liquid disintegrates the mucous layer (soft tartar) adhered to the teeth and which is otherwise insoluble in water.
  • This procedure is carried out by grasping the closed container l in such a way that the cover 2 cannot leave its place, and then by shaking the container thoroughly. Since the base 4 and the holder 1, 8 are held in the container by the leaf spring H, the said members along with the denture 40 are held in fixed position during the shaking.
