Abstract

1,068,748. Holders for vapourisable materials. AIRKEM, Inc. Dec. 10, 1964 [Dec. 12, 1963], No. 50397/64. Heading A5G. A dispensing container for a gel 27 comprising volatile components e.g. deodorants comprises a cylindrical cup 11 and a base 10 which forms a sealing closure for the cup. The base has a number of elongated fingers 15 which grip the cup and supplemental circumferential surfaces 29 whereby a gel which solidifies in contact therewith is held so that, on partially separating base and cup, the gel remains attached to the base and is exposed to the air in the interstices between the fingers. For filling, the cup is filled with liquid gel composition, the base is attached and the whole is inverted to allow the gel to set in contact with the base. Base and cup may be joined by a bayonet type connection.
