1359447 Air-freshening device ROBERT FINKE 5 March 1973 [3 March 1972]. 10470/73 Heading A5G An air-freshening device comprises a twopart holder for a gelled composition comprising volatile components of which the top part 2 is approximately cylindrical and has a tightly fitting cover 16 sealing the upper end. A screw thread 13 is provided at the lower end which mates with the corresponding thread 9 in the base part 1 so that, when the top part is fully screwed down (depressions 14 are provided to give a finger grip), the composition is substantially totally enclosed. Partial unscrewing of the top part partly or wholly exposes the openings between the fillets 8 in the upper part of the base allowing the volatile material to escape. The bottom of the base is a tightly fitting plate 3 with a central projection 4 and an annular groove and collar 5 and 6. The device may be filled with the molten gel composition through the top before the cover 16 is fitted.
