Abstract
A hand covering for gripping handles comprises a covering body with a necking portion to enclose around a handle and an entrance for hands to put into. The front end of the necking portion is gradually enlarged to the entrance. A fixed hole is defined at the front end of the necking portion. The covering body has a receiving space defined therein for receiving hands. The receiving space is communicated with the fixed hole and the entrance. The receiving space has a warming member defined at the inner peripheral of the covering body for keeping the hands warm in the receiving space and for absorbing the sweat from hands.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a glove, more particularly to a hand covering for gripping handles of wheelchairs and walking sticks.
- 2. Description of Related Art
- Usually, aged people or physical challengers need wheelchairs and walking sticks to walk and move. They often grip handles to operate wheelchairs and walking sticks. However, when aged people or physical challengers grip the walking sticks for a long time, the handles of the walking sticks become slipping gradually because of sweat. It is so dangerous for these aged people and physical challengers to hold slipping walking sticks to move. In addition, during winters, hands cannot force enough because of cold weather. Although they can wear gloves to use these walking sticks and wheelchairs, the gloves make the handles become slipping. In order to avoid injury and accident, some non-slipped and warming device is necessary to set on the handles of wheelchairs and walking sticks.
- The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional.
- The main objective of the present invention is to provide an improved hand covering for gripping handles.
- To achieve the objective, a hand covering for gripping handles comprises a hand covering for gripping handles comprises a covering body having a necking portion at the front end to enclose around a handle and an entrance at the rear end for hands to put into, the front end of the necking portion gradually enlarged to the entrance, a fixed hole defined at the front end of the necking portion for receiving the handle, a splitting portion defined axially on the necking portion to split up the necking portion into two parts, the necking portion having connectors defined on each of two parts, the covering body having a receiving space defined therein for receiving hands, the receiving space communicated with the fixed hole and the entrance, the receiving space having a warming member defined at the inner peripheral of the covering body.
- The peripheral of the necking portion is formed as a zigzag shape. The connectors are male and female contact, or Velcro tape, or buttons. A flexible belt is defined in the peripheral of the necking portion along the zigzag shape. The warming member is made from cotton, wool or feather.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a hand covering for gripping handles of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the hand covering for gripping handles for showing the rear end of a covering body to be folded back; -
FIG. 3 is a partially enlarged view for showing a necking portion; -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the hand covering for gripping handles along a line AA shown inFIG. 2 ; -
FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the hand covering for gripping handles set on a walking stick; -
FIG. 6 is a perspective view of the hand covering for gripping handles set on a wheelchair; and -
FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view for showing the hand covering for gripping handles set on handles. - Referring to
FIGS. 1-7 , a hand covering for gripping handles comprises a coveringbody 1. The coveringbody 1 has anecking portion 11 at the front end to enclose around ahandle 2. The coveringbody 1 has anentrance 12 at the rear end for hands to put into. The front end of thenecking portion 11 is gradually enlarged to theentrance 12. Afixed hole 111 is defined at the front end of thenecking portion 11 for receiving thehandle 2. A splittingportion 112 is defined axially on thenecking portion 11 to split up thenecking portion 11 into two parts. Thenecking portion 11 hasconnectors 113 defined on each of the two parts. The connectors includemale contacts 1131 defined on one part of thenecking portion 11 andfemale contacts 1132 defined in another part of the necking portion 11 (As shown inFIG. 3 ). When themale contacts 1131 connect to thefemale contacts 1132, thenecking portion 11 is closed along the splittingportion 112 to form thefixed hole 111 for receiving and fixing thehandle 2. The coveringbody 1 has areceiving space 13 defined therein for receiving hands. Thereceiving space 13 is communicated with thefixed hole 111 and theentrance 12. Thereceiving space 13 has awarming member 14 defined at the inner peripheral of the coveringbody 1. - Referring to
FIGS. 3 , 5 to 7, the peripheral of thenecking portion 11 is formed as a zigzag shape. Aflexible belt 114 is defined in the peripheral of thenecking portion 11 along the zigzag shape so that the zigzag peripheral is flattened and thenecking portion 11 is enlarged to receive thehandle 2 when theflexible belt 114 is stretched. After thenecking portion 11 encloses thehandle 2, theflexible belt 114 is recovered and thenecking portion 11 is lessened to the original size to fasten on thehandle 2. Theconnectors 113 on thenecking portion 11 can be male andfemale contact connectors 113 are adjustable to change the size of thenecking portion 11 for further fixing the coveringbody 1 on thehandle 2. - Referring to
FIG. 4 , thewarming member 14 in thereceiving space 13 is made from cotton, wool or feather for keeping the hands warm in thereceiving space 13. - Referring to
FIGS. 2 and 5 , the rear end of the coveringbody 1 is folded back to form theentrance 12 with overlappingwarming member 14 so that the structure of theentrance 12 is stronger and the wrist is kept warmer by the overlappingwarming member 14. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
