IMPROVEMENT IN TOILET-MASKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 194,815, dated September 4, 1877 application filed d May 28, 1877.

The object of this invention is to furnish, for the purpose of beautifying the complexion, removing moth, tan, and sunburn, curing eruptions and inflammation of the skin, and softening and healing the skin, an improved toilet-mask, that fits neatly and yieldingly to the face, and forms a protection for the same against external influences.
The invention consists of a toiletmask formed of an outer layer of suitable pliable fabric, and an inner layer of heating or medi- In the drawing, A represents the outer layer of my improved mask, made of any pliable fabric, such as cotton, linen, silk, kid, leather, rubber, &c., and B the inner layer, which is of flannel or similar soft and fine material.
cording to the special purpose for which the skin is to be treated.
The toilet-mask is to be worn at night, not being annoying on account of its pliability, and exerting a quickly-healing and softening influence upon the pores of the skin, so as to remove impurities and beautify the complexion, and form, furthermore, a protection against the influence of the sun and the bites of insects in summer, and against cold winds, chapping, and frost-bite in winter.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- As a new article of manufacture, a toiletmask composed of an outer layer of pliable fabric, and an inner layer or lining of flannel or similar soft material, substantially as described and shown, for the purpose set forth.
