IMPROVEMENT IN TIME ATTACHMENTS FORLOCKS.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOSEPH L. HALL, of

Cincinnati, Hamilton county, State of Ohio,

- stop.

With the exception of the bell-crank, Fig. 3, the shoulder a of the bolt, the projection b of the angle-bar, and the time-trigger 0, combined as they are in the drawing, all the parts of the look, as shown in the drawing, are of the ordinary construction, A being the bolt; B, the dog; 0, the angle-bar, the projection 0 of which is supported over the tumblers; D, the driving-hook; and E, the tumbler-spindle, the line of the tumblers shown by dotted circle X.

As shown in Fig. 1, the bell crank stop is arranged so that the end of its arm d meets the shoulder a in the manner shown, and its shoulder fof its arm 0 supports the projection I) of the angle-bar G, and thus sustains the angle-bar and dog until, by the action of the time-trigger c in forcing the arm 6 to the left. both the bolt and the angle-bar are released, and the lock is permitted to be opened by the ordinary adjustment of the tumblers and the movement of the-hook D.

I am aware that the combination of a time mechanism with devices for holding the angle-bar out of the tumblers is old, and I therefore lay no broad claim thereto.

I claim- In combination with the bolt A a, time-trigger c, and projection b on the angle-bar, the bell-crank e f d, arranged and operating substantially as and for the purpose specified.
