The object of my inventionis to provide a simple and inexpensive unitary structure] which may be manufactured in a singleop eration by either'casting or stamping it from metal,is adapted to'prevent rattling of. a Win- 'dow and at the same-time secure it"inany desired position, thus preventing movement in either direction.
7 -F or ang-understanding of theinvention,
referencefshonl d be had to the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing and its novel features will be pointed outwith particularity in the ap- 1 pended claims.
In the drawing, Figure 1' is a top or plan view'of the device; and Figure 2 is a side elevation of Figure 1.
Referring to the drawing, 10 is a flattened non-circularbodyf. member provided with a pivot opening 11 therein for the purpose of attaching the device to the window sash 12.
This may be done by any well known means,
1 such as a screw 15 shown in Figure 2. The
shape of the flattened member-is shown in the drawing asbeing'a rectangle having 'c oncave arcuate sides-l9 with'th'e outer portions 13 curved, it being substantially I shaped in a plan. The outer portions 13 are rounded f, transversely and are of uniform bevelthroughouttheir entire width to form knife edges. which areadapted to fit tightly under the window stop 1% by a wedging action when device andmay be made integralfivith. the
