IMPROVEMENT IN SOLE-EDGE-BUR-NISHING TOOLS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 177,629, dated May 215, 1876; application filed Apri1'24, 1876.

Be it known that'I, CHARLES S. FIFIELD, of, Boston, in the county of Sufi'olk and State of Massachusetts, have invented an Improved Tool for Rotary Edge-Burnishing Machines,
- of which the following is agfull, clear, concise,
and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan, and Fig.2 is a longitudinal section, of one of my improved tools, especially adapted for use in 'the burnishing-machine now known as the Dodge Edge-Setting Machine.
This tool consists of a conical tang, a, by
which it is held in its revolving tool-stock, which has a corresponding conical bore, a barnishing-tool, b b, for the toes and'sides of the fore part, and a second bnrnishingtool, c, for the shanks. 1
