This invention relates to improvements in bracelet fasteners and relates more particularly -to watch bracelet fasteners.l
The primary object of the invention 1s to provide a bracelet which has novel and 1mproved means for adjustably connectlng the inner ends of the two members of the bracelet.
Still further the object of the invention is to provide a connecting means which 1s strong and serviceable and devoid of catches, snaps, or the like and which can be economically produced, and also easily and quickly operated to effect adjustment of the members with respect to the center-piece.

In accordance with the present invention a center piece or connector l is employed which is formed of integral tubing preferably rectangular in cross-section as shown and curved through its length so as to conform the connector to the wrist of the wearer. The connector provides a box or housing receiving the inner ends of the end members 2 of the bracelet therein and has each of its sides formed with a series of spaced perforations 3, the perforations of the two series being in register with each other. The inner end of each of the bracelet ends 2 is provided with a transversely extending tubular member 4 which member has closed ends that are perforated at 5. The members 4 have shanks 6 that may be secured to the bracelet sides or members 2 by means of solder or the like. As here shown the side members are formed of mesh fabric, but obviously they may be formed of other material if desired. A pin 7 is slidable through each of the openings 5 at the ends of the members 4 and have ycollars or stops 8 secured thereto intermediate their ends, the stops being disposed on the 50 interiors of the members 4 and are held engaged with the ends of the latter by means of a coil spring 9 which latter is common to each of the pins andis engaged over Athe inner ends thereof as shown in Figure 3.
The tubular members 4 are preferably secured to the inner ends of the bracelet ends by means of connecting members 8 which i and are likewise inserted in and removable through said open ends of the connector hous-A ing. i
In operation, it will be noted that the pins 7 are initially depressed to lie Hush with the ends ofthe member 4 whereupon the latter is introduced into the connector 1 and upon registry with the perforations 3 at the'sides of the connector, it will be noted that the pins Will be moved outwardly by the spring and will engage in the perforations 3, thereby connecting the member .2 to the centerpiece 1. If it is desired to move the bracelet end members to a different position, it is merely necessary to force the pins 7 inwardly to lie Hush with the ends of the members 4 and then slide the member 2 inwardly or outwardly as required. From the foregoing it will be seen that the member l constitutes a rigid connector for the bracelet ends which is devoid of all movable parts, and which at the same time aii'ords a continuous and smooth surface with which the wrist is engaged. It will be further seen that the parts are reliably and efectively held against accidental separation, since in order to disconnect same the pin 7 must be simultaneously moved inwardly into flush relation to the ends of the member 4.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is A bracelet fastener including end memloo bers, a connector for said end members composed of a hollow casing of integral construction having a top, a bottom, sides and similar open ends, the latter formed to receive parts of said end members therein, the sidesof said connector casing having registering series of openings, and similar latching means carried by each of said end members and having parts removably engaged in the respective openings of the sides of the casing, said latching means being insertable in and removable through said open ends of the connector oasing.`
