JULIAN A. HURDLE, OF WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.
IMPROVEMENT IN BOUQUET-HOLDERS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 174,364, dated March 7, 1876; application filed February 4, 1876.
To all 'whom it may concern.-
Be it known that'I, JULIAN A. HURDLE, of Washington, in the District of Columbia, have invented certain neW and usefulI Improvements in Bouquet-Holders; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and
exact description thereof, which Will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters ot' reference marked thereon,

The object ot' my invention is to fasten a Abouquet to the lapel of a coat in a manner to prevent the cloth from becoming soiled by the fastener, lasI shall fullydescribe hereafter. Y

The fastener iscircular in form, and has four circular cuts,` B' B B Bm', which allows the portions Dl D"l D D to be bent around the stem of the owers and holds them firm,
While the portion A remains in its original cave; then bend the por ions marked D Dl D Dm around them, which holds them firm; then penetrate the cloth with the pin-points C C, and bend them iu an opposite direction, which produces the results desired.
I claim as my invention- A bouquet holder or fastener consisting of the curved portion A, wings Dl D Dll Dm', and pins C C, substantially as described.
