A further ObjBCt'lS to provide safety razor hanger in which means is provided for removably carrying a receptacle, such as an ordinary envelope, into which old blades can be dropped and preserved in good order until they are resharpened or destroyed.

Other objects and advantages will appear in the following specification, and the novel features of the invention will be particularly pointed out in the appended claims.

My invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, forming part of this application, in which Figure 1 is a face view of the device,

Figure 2 is a top plan view, and

Figure 3 is a sectional view taken along the line 33 of Figure 1.

In carrying out my invention,.I make use of anysuitable sheet material, preferably thin sheet metal. As will be seen from Fig ure 3, there is a back portion 1 which is bent at 2 to form a downwardly extending flange 3. The back 1 is again. bent at 4 to form a front portion 5. The latter extends upwardly and is inclined slightly away from the back 1. The front portion 5 is bent at 6 to form a downwardly extending flange 7 which is spaced away from the front portion 5. The back portion 1 is provided with openings 8, by means of which the device may be secured to a wall, by the use of screws or the like.

A supporting'rack is provided which consists of a bottom 9 having openings 10 there in. The bottom is bent at 11 and again at 12 to form a front portion 13. The bottom 9 is bent at 14: to form a backing 15. The latter is bent at 16' and at 17 to form guide flanges 18 and 19, respectively.

The flanges 18 and 19 are slightly spaced apart so that. the portion 7 is received betweenthem when the rack is inserted at the end of the front portion 5.

Airordinary paper envelope 20 is split slightly at each end, as at 21. The g'ummed '7 flap 22' is inserted inside of the envelope, as shown in Figure 1. A small corner por tion' 23 on each end of the envelope is folded" in the manner shown in Figure" 1. The

envelope may now be inserted from either end of the device, one side of the envelope sliding between the back 1 and the turned down portion, 3, and the other side sliding between the front portion 5 and the flange 19.

From the foregoing description of the various parts of the device, the operation there of may be readily understood. In use, the handle of a safety razor It may be inserted in any one of the openings 10, preferably either one of the'end openings. Any number of new blades B areplaced on the rack over the center opening. When it is desired to use a new blade, the user. inserts a finger in the center opening, thereby lifting the blades up so that one can beeasily removed.

WVhen the'old blades are discarded, they are dropped into the envelope and there allowed to" accumulateuntil it is desired to have them resharpened or destroyed. It will be seen that the blades can be disposed of without having to touch them with the flnto. sell an article in as many sections as possible, thereby increasing the sale price of an article. The making of this device in two parts, which are readily put together, makes, this device adaptable to the ten cent store trade.

I claim: I V

1. The. combination of a sheet bent to providea back portion and a front portion, a rack slidably carried by said front portion and having openings therein for receiving a safety razor handle, and a receptacle slidably carried between said back portion and said front portion.

2. The combination ofa sheet bent to provide a back portion and a front portion inclined at an angle to said back portion, said front portion having an integral flange, a rack slidably carried by said flange and hav ing openings therein for receiving a safety razor handle, and a receptacle slidably carried, between said back portion and said front portion, whereby said receptacle can be removed from either end of said front and back portions. 7

3. The combination of a sheet bent to provide a back portion having a flange and a front portion inclined at an angle to said back portion, said front portion having an integral flange, a rack having openings therein for receiving a safety razor handle, said rack having flanges formed to slidably engage said second-named flange, and a receptacle arranged to slide between the back and said first-named flangeand the front 'portion'and one of said last-named flanges,

whereby said receptacle can be removed from either end of said front and back portions.

The combination of a sheet of metal bent to provide a back portion having a flange and a front portion inclined at an angle to said back portion, said front portion having an integral flange, a rack having openings therein for receiving a safety razor handle, saidrack havingflanges formed to slidably engage said second-named flange, and an envelope split at each end 'to form a pair of guide members, one of said guide members being adapted to slide between the back portion and said'first narned flange, and the other guide member being folded and adapted to slide between the front portion and one of said last-named flanges, whereby from either end of the device.
