IMPROVEMENT IN CUFF-HOLDERS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 160,636, dated March 9I 1875; application filed June 25, 1874.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY B. ADAMS, ot the city and county and State ot' New York, have invented an Improved Gulf-Holder, the object of which is to hold the culi in a desira ble position relative to the hand and outer sleeve of coat or dress, of which the following is a specification:

In the accompanying drawing, Figure l is a top view of the holder. Fig. 2 represents the same attached to the cuff and sleeve.

The holder may be made of any suitable metal, either of Wire or sheet metal; When from the sheet metal, it is cut therefrom by dies. It consists ot' two arms, which form an open eyelet at one or both their ends, and Which arms are made to have a slight spring, in order that the eyelet, at either or both ends, may open and clasp over and around the shank of a button. The small leather disk attached to the holder is for the purpose of attachment to the coat or dress sleeve; but the holder may be attached to the sleeve by a button, hook, or eye by varying the form of the holder. When the holder is made open at both ends, the center is not separated by the die.

It is very plain to all that 'this holder may be made single or doublethat is, to snap at both or either end-and may be made'adj ustable to the cuff and sleeve hy many forms of the device.

What I claim as my invention iss- The cuff-holder consisting ot' the spring-arms A and disk B, constructed and arranged substantially as described and sho\vn and for the purposes set forth.
