IMPROVEMENT IN PANTALOON-STAYS. Y
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. l 55,566, dated September 29, 1874; application led August 24, 1874.
To all 'whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, E. S. YENTZER, of Ottawa, county of La Salle, State of Illinois, have invented certain Improvements in Supporters for Iantaloons, of which the following is a specification: Y
The object of my invention is to give pantaloon-legs more stiffness anda better form, and make them to present a less bulky'appearance than can be done by the present mode of placing a canvas lining inside around the bottom of theleg.
My invention consists in attaching a snpporter, made of canvas, hair-cloth, or other suitable material, having the form of a conical section, to the side seams of the pantaloon bottoms. The supporters are sewed to the seams with 'the base downward, in such a manner that the base,extends equally on both sides ofthe seam, and ruiming up the seam to a point where it is fastened to the saine, the points of the base being fastened to the inside of the material itself, or to its lining.
In order to describe my invention more fully, I refer to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this invention.
