IMPROVEMENT IN TOY DARTS.
l Specification forming part of Letters Patent No.155,254, dated September 22, 1874; application filed August 15, 1874.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWIN B. MORGAN, of Paterson, Passaic county, New Jersey, have invented a new and Improved Rebounding Dart, of which the following is a specification:
My invention consists of a dart to be thrown by a spring connected to the handle by an elastic cord, which serves both for the said spring,` for throwing the dart and for a recoil spring to return it to the operator, and thus to save running for the dart each time it is thrown. The object is to provide an entertaining toy for children.
The drawing represents my improved toy in side elevation.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
A is the handle, by which to apply the power. B represents the elastic cord or spring of rubber, for throwing and returning the dart, and C represents the dart or arrow. These parts may all be contrived in any approved form or style to snit the fancy.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The toy dart herein described, consisting of a handle, A, elastic cord or spring B, and the dart or arrow C, all constructed and arranged substantially as specified.
