Be it known that I, ELIAS F. SLEAR, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Harrisburg, county of Dauphin, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Toy Guns, of

may be secured to the member in any desired manner, it is found best to employ the multiple prong cap 6. To the free end of the band is secured a projectile of a yieldable material. This projectile is approximately circular in form and in thickness is slightly in excess of the width of the recess 2. This is so arranged to permit the projectile being wedged within the slot.

When the projectile is in the slot, a portion of the trigger is positioned between the proj ectile and the base of the slot and it is only necessary to pull the trigger and force the projectile out of the slot when it will be given momentum by the elastic band.

It is to be observed that this toy is so constructed that the gun and ammunition are connected together or combined in one. The manipulation of the gun is safe and simple owing to the fact that the elastic band is fastened underneath, guarding against danger of striking the operator should the rubber or spring break or become detached. The main feature of this invention is that the toy requires no other ammunition than the pro jectile which is attached to the band. Attention is also directed to the fact that the projectile is made of a yielding material preferably leather which will guard against da1r ger of accident.

IVhat I claim is:

An article of the character described comprising a body simulating a fire arm and having a recess, an elastic band secured to said body, a compressible projectile secured to the band, said projectile being in thickness greater than the width of said recess and a finger lever or trigger for forcing the projectile out of the recess.
