VVENZELTOEPFEB, OF MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN.
IMPROVEMENT lN BEER-COOLERS.
Specification forming part ofv Letters Patent No.
149,695, dated April 14, 1874; application filed March 7, 1874.
Figure 1 is a top view of my improved beercooler. Fig. 2 is a view of the bottom. Fig. 3 is a section on theline m 00, Fig. l. Fig. 4 is an enlarged detail -of the bottom, and Fig. 5 is a section of Fig. 4 on the line 'y y.

The iioor and ends of the cooling-pan are composed of the metal plates A, with beveled edges, and the plates B with a beveled strip, C, the strips being fastened to plates B at the middle of the upper side, or thereabout, and arranged With their beveled edges reversely to the edges of plates A, so that when the latter are placed on the upper side of B and pressed against G, they lock`together and make tight joints. The plates A Band strips O are bent up at the ends, Where they extend the Whole length of the pan to form the two sides D; but in case they are too short, they are matched at the middle by aplate, B', and strip C. The plates A B and strips G are clamped together -by 'a cleat, E, fastened at one end to one plate A, passing under B to the other side, and entering a clip or guard, J, attached to the oth er plate A, which holds it from springing away,
der G and a cleat, H, riveted fast to the plate A. The same method is employed for fasten ing the ends of the plates to the splice-piece B C', also, for clamping the turned-up ends of the plates forming the sides D. The-other two sides are formed by turning up the outsideplates A, as shown at I, Fig. 3; also, the plates B and C?.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as ner and desire to secure by Letters Patentl. A section al beercooler, composed of metal plates A B and strips C, With or Without plate B and strip C', said plates being detachably locked together by keys F and cleats E H, sul'istantially as specified.
2. The sides D of the sectional cooler formed by the turned-up plates A B and strips C, substantially as specified.
3. The upturned lianges on the outside plates A, forming sides I, connected to the clamps, as described.
