and also provides an effective belt for conlining the waist-bands of such garments.

A particularly valuable feature of my improved garment is the ease and simplicity of its investiture, since it is provided with six button holes by which'it may be'buttoned upon the six suspender buttons ordinarily provided upon bifurcated nether garments. While I have provided the usual means of adjusting the suspension means' and the belt to accommodate the garment to wearers of different sizes, when the parts are adjusted the garment may be put on and taken olf by merely the manipulation of the buttons ordinarily used for suspen ders without having to resort to the use of any buckles or other fastening means.

I have indicated in the drawings filed herewith one specific embodiment of my invention, but it is to be clearly understood that I do not consider my invention limited to the details of construction illustrated, but refer for its scope to the claims appended hereto.

My improved garment comprises a back portion A provided with a pair of elastic shoulder straps B, B. The portion A has at its lower edge a hem A1 and is provided with a pair of button holes A2, A2, so disposed as to be adapted to receive there' B1., B1, which may be adjustably and removably fastened to the straps B, B, respectively, in the well known method 'obtaining in Suspenders. Each of these thongs Bl'is provided with a button hole, B2. These thongs, B1, B1, are adapted to be buttoned upon the two ordinary suspender buttons, P2, P2, at the front of the pants P. The back A is so shaped that the ends A3, A3, of the hem A1 extend to the sides lof the wearer. Each of these ends A3, A3, is provided with a buckle, A4, in Whichmay be fastened an elastic strap, C, which carries in its outer end a thong C1, provided with a button hole C2. The inner end, C3, o-f the strap C is received within the hem A1. The

From the foregoing description of the parts of my garment it will be obvious that I provide a covering for the back of the wearer, Suspenders to support the pants, and a belt to retain the proper shape of the upper part of the pants. I

I-Iaving described my invention, whatV I claim is: v

- 1. In a body garment, the combination of a back covering provided with two button holes; a pair of suspender straps attached to the upper edge of said covering andeach provided in its end with a button hole; and a pair of belt straps, each attached to one side of said covering and provided with a button hole. v

2. The combination in a garment of a back member provided with a hem; two buckles each attached at one end of said hem; an elastic strap adjustably carried in each buckle and having one of its ends confined in said hem; and a strap provided with a button hole attached to the free end of each strap.

3. The combination in a garment of a back member provided at its bottom with a hem;

two buckles each attached at one end of in each buckle and having one of its ends confined in said hem; a strap provided with a button hole attached to the free end of each strap; two elastic straps attached to the top of said back member; and a strap provided with a button hole adjustably attached to each of said top straps.
