UNION OVERALLS.

Specification of Letters Patent.

Application filed September 18, 1919. Serial No. 324,531.

, To all whom it may concern.

Be it known that I, ISAAC BERNSTEIN, a citizen. of the United States, residing at Alameda, in the county of Alameda and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Union Overalls, of which the following is a specification.

My inventionis a union overalls which may be slipped on and OE and opened in the backquickly.

Referring to the annexed drawing:

Figure 1 is a front perspective view my overalls shown on a man.

Figure 2 is a rear perspective view my overalls shown on a man.

Figure 3 is a fragmentary rear view my overalls with the flap open.

Figure 4 is a fragmentary front view my overalls.

In the drawing 1 indicates the body, 2 the trousers and 3 the sleeves of my overalls. The back of the body has an entrance 4 extending from the crotch 5 through the collar 6 at the left side of the back thereof and a fiap 7 which extends from the left side tothe right side of the back of the body and closes said entrance. The ends of the collar 6 at the entrance 4 are buttoned togather-by a button 8 on the end of the collar which is on the body 1 and a button hole 9 in the other end of the collar which is on the flap 7. A suspender strap 10 extends from the upper right corner of the flap 7 over the right shoulder of the wearer and is buttoned over the upper edge of a pocket 11, on the front of the body 1 at the right side thereof, by means of a button 12, sewed to the front of the body and a button hole 13 in the extremity of the strap. The upper edge of the front wall of pocket 11 isbuttoned over button 12 under strap 10 through button hole 12 in said wall at its upper edge, closing the entrance to said pocket. A strap 14 of the same style as strap 10 is sewed at one end to the left shoulder and is buttoned over the upper edge of a pocket 15 on the front of the body 1 at the right side thereof by means of a button 16, sewed to the front of the body and a button hole 17 in the extremity of the strap, the upper edge of the front wall of the pocket being buttoned on said button" through a button hole 16' in said front wall at its upper edge, closing'the entrance to said pocket.

The right edge of the flap 7- may be buttoned near the under side of the right sleeve by means of a button 17 sewed at such point'to the back of the body 1 and a button hole 18 in the flap near its right edge. An elastic belt 20 is sewed inthe waist of the body 1 and flap 7, the ends of which meet at the right edge of the flap when the flap is closed and may be hooked together by a hook 21 on one end and an eye 22 on the other end thereof, whereby the garment is gathered around the Waist to fit persons of various sizes.

The strap 10 buttoned on button 12 is sufficient to hold the flap 7 in closed position and the overalls 'on the wearer for quick use.

I manufacture my overalls in three sizes which by means of the elastics 34 at the lower ends of the trousers, and the elastics 35 at the. ends of the sleeves will fit persons ofiall sizes.

Having described my invention, I claim:

1. Overalls including a body, trousers, and sleeves, the body being formed with an entrance in the back extending from the crotch to the collar, a single fiap for closing said entrance, a Suspender strap at the upper corner, of said fiap extending over a shoulder of the wearer, and means for fastening said strap to the front of the garment.

2. Overalls including a body, trousercrotch to the collar, a flap for closing said entrance, a front pocket, a button for buttoning the entrance of said pocket, a suspender strap at the upper corner of said flap extending over a shoulder of the Wearer, said strap having a button hole whereby it is buttoned on said button.

3. Overalls including a body, trousers, and sleeves, the body being formed with an entrance in the back extending from the crotch to the collar, a single flap for closing said entrance, means for detachably fastening the ends of the collar together at said entrance, and means for detachably se-
