IMPROVEMENT lN CHILDRENS CARRIAGES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 143,624, dated October 11,1873; application filed May 24, 1873;
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LUcINIUs HAVASY, of Hoboken, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and Improved Childs Carriage, of which the following is a specification:
The invention consists in a novel mode of constructing and combining the parts of a childs carriage, as hereinafter described and claimed.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of my improved childs carriage, and Fig. 2 is a front elevation of ,it.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
The boxor body A, which is constructed mainly in the form of a covered chair with inclosed sides, is suspended by the arms 13 from the rod G, which is mounted at the top of the standards D, extending up from the lower portion of the frame E about as high as the top of the body, so that it can be swung forward and back whenever it may be desired to do so to quiet the child. For this purpose the wheels are made small and arranged wide frame E, also, in a way to make a very simple and cheap construction.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let'- ters Patent, is The combination, with body A, of the arms B, rod 0, standards D, frame F Gr, springs H, and frame E, all constructed and arranged substantially as and for the purpose described.
