entree stares,
WILLIAM L. SCHROTH, OF ROCHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA.
N URSIN G-BOTTLE HOLDER.
Application filed September 2, 1920.
sition fordisposing of its contents without subjecting the infant or patient to the inconvenience of holding the same and which is adapted to be supported in operativ position to suit the selected or preferred posture of the infant or patient, said device being adapted for attachment to a baby carriage, bassinet, high chair, crib or the like, and with these objects in view, the invention consists of a construction and combination.
of parts of which a preferred embodiment is shown in th accompanying drawings,
wherein Figure 1, is .a view of the bottle holding apparatus arranged in operative position to show a bottle seated therein.
Figure 2,-is a detail view of the bottle clamp detached.
Figure 3, is a similar view of the supporting clamp. I I
Figure 4, is a sectional view of the surmounting clamp by which the bottle clamp is attached to the supporting rod,
Figure 5, is a. similar view of the surmounting clamp by which the supporting clamp is connected with the rod.
The device consists essentially of a supporting clam 10, abottle clamp 11 and a connecting rod 12, the bottle clamp having an adjustable connection with the rod by means of a swivel clamp 13. This rod in i turn has an adjustable connection with the arranged between the 'jaws 19 of clamp 14 to permit of relative longitudinal supporting clamp by means of the swivel clamp 14 which is constructed to permit adjustment of the rod longitudinally.
he supporting clamp, as illustrated, consists of a yoke provided with a stem 15 with which the swivel clamp 14 has an operative connection; The yoke is a clamp screw 16 mounted upon a slide 17 which is movable longitudinally with relation to the yoke to permit the positioning of the screw 16 at the most convenient point to effect the attachment of the clamp on the edge of a crib or the like. The stem 15 is the swivel Specification of Letters Patent.

movement of the supporting clamp, the aws belng closed to clamp said holes in the sleeve and head are thus thrown out of axial alignment with there is a binding action on the rod that serves to preclude any longitudinal movement of the latter. Thus any desired adjustment of the rod longitudinally may be had. -Like wise angular adjustment of the rod is possible for the" reason that the sleeve and head by which it is carried may move relative to the clamp 19. The bottle clamp consists of a bar 25 having terminal rings 26 and 27 for engagement respectively with the neck and body of the bottle 28, the body receiving ring preferably being split as shown-to adapt it to yieldingly clasp the bottle and having a rubber or similar yielding sheath 29 serving to frictionally of the bottle. The bar 25 by which the bottle engaging ringsare connected is extended through a transverse opening in the head 30 of a swivel pin 31 mounted in the body portion of the swivel clamp 13 and fitted with the thumb nut 33.
Obviously the tightening of the thumb nut will lock the swivel pin in an adjusted position to correspondingly hold the bottle clamp in a position to suit the infant or patient. a
The invention having been described, what is claimed as new and useful is device for the purpose specified consistingof a bottle clamp, a supporting clamp, and a connecting rod connecting the supporting clamp with the bottle clamp, the supporting clamp 00 sisting of a yoke, a slide carried by and with relation to the yoke, and a mounted in said slide for the cated.
In testimony whereof he ture.
