THOMAS G. RAMSEY, or wArANncKA, OKLAHOMA. V
' ADJUSTABLE"WINDOW-SHADE BRACKET.
Specification of Letters'Patent. Patenteafllarfi, .1918,
Application filed September 11, 1916. Serial No. 119,52L
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, T OMAS G. RAMSEY, a
citizen of the United States, residingat lVapanucka, in the county of Johnston and State of Oklahoma, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Adjustable Window-Shade Brackets, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to adjustable window shade brackets and the primary object is to provide a bracket for supporting the ends of a shade roller that will be adapted to be vertically adjusted for raising or lowering the shade roller and laterally adjusted for accommodating various lengths of shade rollers.
The above and additional objects are accomplished by such means as are illustrated in the preferred embodiment and in theaccompanying drawings, wherein like characters denote like or corresponding parts throughout'the several views, in which Figure I is a fragmentary elevat on of a window frame showing all of my brackets applied thereto.
Fig. 2 is a section on the line 2+2 of Fig. 1. 7 7 r Fig. .31 is a section on the line 3-3 of Fig.1. C Referring'to the drawing, wherein is illustrated the preferred form of my invention, and in which like numerals of reference indicate corresponding parts throughout the several views, it has been thought advisable to disclose only one of the brackets since they are designed to be used at'either side of the window frame for supporting either end of a shade roller. I therefore provide a channel bar 1 having a dovetail groove 2 extending for its entire length. The ends of the bar .1 are fastened by screws to the frame A of the window and the dovetail channel 2 receives the tongue 3 of a supporting bar 4 which depends vertically from the tongue 3.
A locking screw 5 is extended through an ceiving the trunnionsof a shade roller) The flanges 8 as shown by F ig.. 3 of thedrawing are provided with the grooves 12 which communicate with the channel 91thereby provid- I 7 ing a T-shaped slot 13. Tongues 14: are integrally formed with the sides ofthe head 10 and slidably fit within the grooves 12 so that the head is prevented from being accidentally displaced and is free to be adjusted ver tically. For holding the head 10 in adjusted position a locking screw 15 is extended through an opening in the headand is adapted to registerwith any oneof a pl-urality of depressions 16 tom of the slot 13.
From the foregoing it will be observed that a very simple and durable adjustable thedetails of which embody the preferred form. *I desire it to be understood however, 7
