Be it, known that I, Jon's Q. Aunts, a citizen of the United States :of Amer a; residing at St. Joseph. in the county of Buchanan and State of issouri. have invented certain new and useful Improvements in (ombination 'ork-(irarments with Detachable Jackets. of which the following is a specification.

The object sought by me in this invention is to provide a combination two piece work garment especially adapted to the use of mechanics and other classes of laboring men.

I accomplish my object by the construc tion shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a front view of said garmentthe sleeves and a portion of the collar broken away; Fig. '2 is a similar view showing the two pieces detached, and Fig. 3 is a detail of a tab on the inside of the back of the jacket. a buckle, a self adjustable sus pender therein and a protector with a loop thereon.

Said trousers are also provided with an opening E at the front extending from the crotch to waist band and with two hip patch pockets H H and with a rule Hatch pocket H. ()n the back of the waist band I attach two corresponding belt straps l1 11. by which to tighten the trousers thereby obviating when preferred, the use of both suspenders and belt. The. jacket is provided with a collar I and an extension collar band I, as shown in Fig. 1 at the point where said collar is broken away forming; connection with the band underneath the collar by means of button and button holc. Said jacket I3 is open at the front from the collar to the waist band.

K is a detachable suspendcr as shown in all the figures. I. is a tab fastened at the top to the inside of the back of the jacket.

Said suspcudcr K forms connection with said tab by means of a buckle M or other suitable means.

To protect the body of the wearer from .the rub of a suspcnder buckle I attach in conjunction with the tab a protector M to the inside of the back of the jacket. I also attach on the observe side of the bottom of said protector a loop through which the suspender may slide the suspender thereby holding the protector in position.

The front of the jacket is provided at the waist band with a plurality of loops 0' O with which a corresponding pluralit of buttons 0 waist band of the trousers engage. The buttons on the back waist band of the trousers are adapted to engage with the back ends of the suspenders. said forward buckle and loop engaging with the forward end of the Suspender. The back of the jacket is provided with a curtain R extending slightly below the back waist band of the trousers. Said curtain is provided on each front edge with a tab R which makes connection at an opening D by a snap fastening or other suitable means.

From the above description. it will be seen that by my construction of said garment I provide a jacket that may be readily and quickly detached from both the front and back waist bands of the trousers.

What I claim and desire to secure ters Iatent is:

1.. In a garment of the kind described, the coml'iination with a jacket and a curtain integral with the rear thereof extending slightlv below the waist band of the trousers. a tab on each front edge of said curtain suitably connected at the rear edge of each slit in the side of the trousers. of a tab attached on the inside of the back of the jacket. a detachable and adjustable buckle thereon. a single suspender looped loosely in said buckle its duplicate ends engaging with buttons on the outside of the back waist band of the trousers and a protector attached to the inside of the back of the jacket adapted to drop in front of said tab and buckle and protect the back from unpleasant pressure of the buckle.

In a combination work garment with a detachablejacket having a front opening, a tab securely fastened on the inside of the back of the jacket. a buckle detachable and adjustable on Said tab. a protector forward on the front of said tab and buckle, a loop on the reverse side of said protector near the bottom thereof, a suspender adjustable and detachable from both the rear waist band and the tab to hold said protector in position, the ends of the suspender diverging into connection with buttons on the trousers, back waist band.

3. The combination in an open front jacket and trousers with a trousers waist band having a plurality of buttons on the outside of the back of the waist band to engage suspenders and a front opening in said trousers from crotch to waist band, of a detachable suspender, a tab securely fastened on the inside of the back of the jacket, a hinged buckle detachable from said tab and a loop thereon from which said suspender is detachable thereby forming a combination detachable buckle and suspender, a
