ANTISEPTIC WATERPROOF GARBAGE-RECEPTACLE .AND STAND THEREFOR.
i with stands therefor, as described in the present specification and illustrated in the accompanying drawings that ormfpart of the same. f
The invention consists essentially in a novel receptacle for garbage and the like which may be impregnated with a disinfectant and Waterproofing compound.
The objects of the invention are to devise a cheap and Aeliicent garbage receptacle which will be odorless, impervious to Water, and, at the same time, protected against disease germs. n n
In the drawings Figure 1 is a perspective view of the receptacle which is adapted to be rendered antiseptic, Waterproof and odorless. Fig. 2V is aperspective View show ing the receptacle in dotted lines, mounted on a preferred form of stand.
Like numerals ot reference indicate corresponding parts in each figure. l
Referring to the drawings, 1 is the receptacle, here shown in the form of a bag composed of some porous'or fibrous material which is adapted to be impregnated with a suitable disinfectant and waterproofing compound.
2 is the base of thestand, having the casing 3 and bracket 4 moiilnted thereon.
5 is a shelf mounted on the rail 6 sliding in the casing 3 and forming a seat for the bottom of the receptacle. ,n
The casing 3 is provided with a regulat-` ing screw 7 which is adapted'to hold the rail 6 in any desired position along the length of the base 2, thus allowing for a larger or smaller sized rccepta e.
8 is a ring mounted on the b acket 4, being adapted to fit inside the mouth of the receptacle 1 and act as a bearing surface for the semi-circular'rings 9 and 10, which are Specication of Letters Patent.

.Application filed January 20, 1913. Serial No. 743.022. v
mounted on hinges 11 and are adaptedV to swing upwardly and snap together over the stationary ring 8 in .any suitable manner,
thus holding the mouth of the bag securely y in its open position, the stationary ring 8 being on the inside. and the `hinged rlngs 9 and 10 fittingf-iround the outside of the mouth thereoigJ y l2 is a suitable cover which is adapted to form an air tight closure for the mouth of the receptacle.'
18 is the hinge on swings.
14 are staples or hooks in the sidesrl ofl the base 2 for the purpose of holding a suitable Screen' 16 in place around the receptacle, adapted for thevprotection of same.
Throughout the present application this receptacle' is illustrated and described as it is used in connection With my improved garbage collecting system, but it must be'l -understood that it may also be used for any other purpose, the salient features of the invention being vthe saturation of a recepwhich said cover tacle with a disinfectant, waterproof and an Y odorless compound. It may be pointed out as another advantage, when my invention is used in this connection,- tha't, when the garbagehas been collected and conveyed to an incinerator in these'bags, the refuse will burn the more freely on account .of the chemical properties which may be contained in the solution with which the bag has been y impregnated.
What I claim is:
A garbage receptacle comprising a sup'- port, an inflammable Waterproof bag, a bracket secured to the support, a ring supported from the bracket and adapted to extend on the inside of the bag and from which the bag is suspended, clamping arms permanently hinged to Ithe bracket andadapted to be swung apart and away from the bag in a lateral direction, acover 4for the receptacle adapted to project over the edge of the bag, pivotal supporting means For the'cover. and an adjustable support for the bottom of the bag.
