citizen lof the United States, residing at El Paso, vin the'county of lill Paso andrState of Texas, have inventedcertain new and useful Improvements in Garments, of which the following is a specification.

This inventionV relates to improvementsin garments, particularly trousers, overalls Aand. similar garments of that character having a Waist-band and a front' placket or iy, the

object of the invention being to provide fastening means for ladjusting the waistband to hold the garment `supported upon the wearer and to simi iltai`ieonsly draw the meeting edges. of the "fly or `placlretginto proper position, the construction of the fastening or supporting means being such as to imitate or present the appearance of the use of an ordinary belt.

A further object ofthe invention is'I to provide a vgarment having fastening or supporting means `of the character described,

including] straps' forming extensions from the ends of the .Waist-band, v one of-` which straps is adapted to be passed throughan opening in the waist-band so that the vstraps may be extended in opposite directions on the outsidenof the waist-band to points ad-` jacent tlie sides of the garment andethere suitably fastened in position, by which` the waist-band may be easily and conveniently contracted as desired and the garment properly fitted upon the wearer.

A still further object of the invention is to provide ag garment having a fastening or supporter of the character described including. coperating- `members for yretaining the straps in position, which members .arev
