To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, RUDOLPH CHARLES, BRANDLEIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at No. 1539 McAllister street, in the city and county of San Francisco and State of California, have invented a new and useful Hinge, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to certain new and useful improvements in hinges, and relates more particularly to hinges used in connection with the doors of display cases, the object of the invention being to provide a new, novel and improved type of hinge which is of economical construction and which has interchangeable leaves that connect the doors to the pilaster in such manner that the latter does not occupy space available for display purposes.

rl`he present invention involves a base member formed of a single sheet of metal having a body plate 1, which latter is provided with a pair of end ears 2 which eX- tend on one side face of plate 1, and a central ear 3 which extends on the opposite side face of the plate 1, the several years being perforated to receive screws 4 to fasten the member to a pilaster P. The outer side of plate l isformed with a pair of end knuckles and a central knuckle each designated 5, the spaces between ythe knuckles receiving the superimposed knuckles 6 of the two hinge leaves 7.
