To all whom 'it may 'concern Be it known that I, DANIEL M'. REYNOLDS, of the city of Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Portable Springs; and l do hereby (ieclare the following to, be a full, clear, and exact description ot the same, reference being had to the acin which v Y y Figure l is a side elevation, and Figure 2 is a front elevation. , The object of this invention is to provide for public use a neat, simple, and convenient portable swing', which can be readily set vup and taken down, requiring no supports but its own frame, and which can be packed in a very small compass for transportation.

This object is accomplished by the devices oonstructed and operating as hereinafter set forth.

In packing the swing-'fortransportation it is only necessary to take out the pins and disconnect bars c c from round r1, then bring the free ends of those bars alongside of the front bars au, inserting the journals Aof the front round r into the holes at theirlower ends; then bring` the round 'Irl up against the back of the pendentbars (Z d, and swing the whole forward until it is in line with and inolosed between the Outer bars a a.. The round r1 may be disconnected and placed between the bars d d, and it preferred the seat may be detached and placed in the same posipion, or packed with othersof diiierent sizes separately from the frames.
