Figure 1 is a viewof a combined bath and washstandof my invention, with the standard and attached water-can elevated, the top removed, and4 the' doors opened ready to be used 'for taking a shower or douche bath.

the sliding-standard down, and the doors closed, as used for acommon wash-stand. QA. is the standard, held to the back of the wash-l stand by the 'slats b b, in sncha manner as to prevent any movement of the standard except the vertical one desired.

g 'g are metallic hooks, ou which the water-can rests. It, g. 2, is a short hook to enter a ring or staple -on the back of the water-can, which, with. Jthe hooks g g, holds thecan securely to its place, which is high enough above the top of the wash-stand to permit a vwash-bowl to be placed under it, or a lamp to heat the wateror prevent its freezing in cold weather.

c, iig. 1, is a pulley, over which passes the cord f, by whichl the standard A is raised or lowered, the other end of the oord beingfastened to thestandard as far above the foot of it as is requisite to raise it the desired height, thence passing up between the 'standard and slat to the pulley e.

d, g. 1, is a click, to shut or close on-the notched side ofthe standard A and hold it up the desired height.

e is a section of a ring attached to the standard A near the top, so as to turn up or down like a hinge,

on which are strung the cu1tainsit',g.1,which serve the double purpose of concealing the bather and preventing the water spattering outside the wash-stand 'when used for bathing.

I claim as my invention- 1. The combination of the standard A with the hooks g g and h, the ring o, the click el, and the pulley c, and the cord f, with the' wash-stand, substantially as and forthe4 p'nrposes hereinbefore set forth.

'2. A Combined wash and bath-stand, all the parts of'which are constructed` and combined together for use, substantially as and for the purposes hereinbefore set forth.
