Letters Patent No. 109,647, dated November 29, 1870.
IMPROVEMENT IN cLoTHEs-DnlErRs.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making parl: of the same.
To all Au-homy it may concern Be it known that we, WILLIAM N. Moolen and ALEXAXDER K. Moons, ofgt-:he village of `Neenah, county of Winnebago and State of Wisconsin, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Clothes- Reels; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing making a part of lthis specilcation, in whieh- Figure 1 is a top viev.

To enable others skilled inthe art to make and use our invention we will proceed to describe its construction and operation.
The post A is turned slightly tapering at the top to fit the thimble C, thus protected, it forms the pivot upon which the reel shall revolve, the latter being set in place, the cap E, secured by the screw Dto the post A, as shown in iig. 2, rests on the head of the structing the reel-head and post`which supports it,-
that the cud of the post protected by a thimble or sleeve shall 'form the pivot on which the rcel shall re'- volve; also, in connection with the above, the uso-of a cap and screw so arranged that the cap s hall rest upon the head of the thimble orsleeve, thc cap being provided with a flange-rim, which shall project over the reel-head. lhe whole so constructedlthat the thimble, rcel, and cap shall be tirlnl y hold to the post by a screw, leaving tbereel free to revolve.`
