his invention relates to a certain new and useful toilet or water-closet-sea-t cover, the object of my invention being to provide a simple, inexpensive, especially adapted and designed for use for sanitary purposes upon, and in connection with, seats of the kind stated,- which may be readily and quickly attached operatively upon, and detached from, the seat, which, when operatively attached upon the closetseat, affords a smooth, even, comfortable,fand sanitary seat for the body, which, when detached from the seat, may be compactly folded and conveniently carried, andwhich, in, the preferred form 'of easily washed and, if necessary, disinfected, and thereby kept in cleanly, antiseptic condition. l
With the above object in view, my inventionresides in the novel form of my new arrangement of the parts thereof, all as, will hereinafter be described and afterward pointed out in the claim.
Referring now to the accompanying drawing, in which like reference letters refor to like parts throughout the several views, A indicates a water-closet of any approved form, and B its usual hinged, centrally open, and somewhat elliptlcal seat.
C indicates my new. sanitary seat-cover,
which is preferably-made of a single piece. material, such as paper of suitable flexible as shown, 'water-proof and durable fabric having smooth and easily washed or cleaned'surfaces, so that it may at all times be readily kept .free from germs and .in a highly cleanlyand antiseptic condition. somewhat elliptical in plan view, as seen particularly in Fig. 3, to conform to or correspond with the usual seat B, and at its center the material thereof is cut-away preferably somewhat in the shape or form of a four-leaf clover '(see Fig. 3) to provide a plurality of flexible centrally-disposed nor mally (as when cover G is in flat, unfolded,
and detached position, as in Fig. 3) convergent'seat-attaching tabs or extensions D integral with the main or body-portion c of cover 0. At their freeends, each of the tabs D has fixed thereto one member E of a preferably glove or snap-fasteningcouplet, the other or complementing member F of each respective couplet being fixed to the main or body-portion c of cover 0 in cooperative position along the outer or marginal edge thereof.
When it is desired to use my new cover G upon a seat B, cover C may be first spread or placed thereupon with its main or bodyportion a covering the upper surface of the seat; tabs D and theouter or marginal portion of body-portion 0 may then be overlapped on the under side or surface of seat B to bring fastening members E and F into engaging position, whereupon, as will be evident, on members E and F being snapped into 'cobperative engagement, my new cover 0 will be firmly held in attached operative position .upon seat B, the central cut-away. portion of cover C conforming, as seen in Fig.1, to the central hole or'opening of seat B and cover 0, when in such position, completely covering seat B, preventingany portion of seat B coming into contact! with the body, body a smooth, comfortable, sanitary seat; Uri-disengaging fastening members E and F, which may be easily done, cover C may be quickly detached desired, folded into a compact package, and conveniently carried for further use. As shown in Fig. 3, cover C is preferably bound the like at both its outer edge and at the edge of ,its central opening, as
