Letters Patent No. 108,125, dated October 11, 1870.
IMPROVEMENT IN WASHING-MACHINES.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whomtt may concern: v
Be it known that I, FRAnKLlN FEAZEL, of Lacon, in the State of Illinois, have inventeda new and use- 1`ul Improvement in- Wasbing-lvlaehines; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and,
' exact description of the same, reference being had te the accompanying drawing and letters of reference marked thereon, making a part of this specification, in which I Figure 1 is a sectional elevation.
rIhis invention consists of aseries of rollers, mounted transversely, of a washing-machine tub, in a pair of arms', pivoted at their extremeties, one to each inner side of the tub, and sustained, at their opposite ends, by springs, hung vertically to the inner side of the tub, the rollers andarms forming a yielding washingboard, in combination, with a corrugated roller, be tween which and the wash-board the clothes are rubbed.
